Heading into backstretch of the second lap of the Masters Meet 800 Meters, Mira Mesa's Hong Castejon and West Hills' Evan Fox chase West Hills' Dustin Diaz. Diaz, who had a best of 1:52.91 going into the meet, suffered from a foot injury and finished fourth. Fox, a soph, was third, running 1:54.96.

Rancho Bernardo's Sean Ricketts ran 1:53.51 to win the Masters 800 Meters, just nipping Kearny's Mohamah Aden, who ran 1:53.61. Ricketts is a soph; Aden is a junior who has just taken up the sport.
