1999 Cross Country CLASS OF THE YEAR

The Boys Class of 2000:
Includes Travis Laird, Matt McInvale, Evan Fox, Sean Ricketts, Justin Neuroth, Jon Rankin, Ryan Maynard, Ryan Moorcroft, Jared Emmons, Josh Pope, Raphael Machado and many,
many more. This outstanding senior class made this season one of the best in local cross country history. It should be a dynamite track and field season.

The Girls Class of 2001:
Includes Julie Komosinski, Desiree Davila, Kaleena Yee, Janet Mulvey, Ashlee Dere, Manal Yamout, Jasmine Marquez, Loretta Kilmer, Dori McGuire, Roxanne Romo, Amonica Phipps, Desiree Leek, Michelle Guerrero, Maggie Sass, Katie Grim, Chessa Adsit-Morris, Kaili Shumilak, Lily Dowlatshahie, Katie O'Connell, Kelly Platko, Deanna Lynn, Shawna Winfrey, Ashley Handy and many more. Last season's runner-of-the-year, Angela Petersen, after a year away, is expected to rejoin the fun next year.Next year, the girls racing could be as competitive and as deep as the boys racing was this year. The talent is especially deep in Division and in the Palomar League, especially with Torrey Pines moving in. Top teams should include Rancho Bernardo, Mt. Carmel, Torrey Pines, Carlsbad, West Hills, La Jolla, Chula Vista and Ramona, most of whom have almost all of their top talent returning.
