2009 Bronco Invite

 Host school Rancho Bernardo'sMolly Grabill picked up right where she left off last spring,running 10:54 over the 2.0 mile Kit Carson Park course breaking her own course record of 11:06. Grabill broke away early from the great Torrey Pines  threesome of Megan Morgan, Ali Billmeyer and Ashlyn Dadkhah and was never seriously challanged Morgan also broke the previous record by running 11:01. Torrey served notice that they are a serious contender for the State title with a 2,3,4,10,11 finish. In the D-1 boys race, the Broncos led until 600 meters to go when Patrick Henry's red headed duo of Ryan Urie and Kellen Blumberg surged past followed closely by La Costa Canyon Soph Darren Fahy. Their times of 9:44,9:46 and 9:48 respectively all broke the course record of 9:53 set by Westview\'s Travis Kuhlman in 2007. In the D-2 races, Cathedral Catholic's Katrina Mecklenburg led her very strong squad with a 12:16 victory and Mira Mesa had the boys champion with a fine 10:12 performance by Chris Steinke  -- Terry Dockery

Since all races were the same distance (2 miles) I combined all girls and all boys races to produce a large virtual race for each, complete with team scores and team times (thanks to the best scoring software available, namely, RunScore).
