Below are the minutes of our initial meeting back in March.
Gary MacDonald emailed these to all City coaches on March 24th along with a list of contacts.
I didn't include the contact sheet on this site but if you need one let me know and I'll email it to you.

The Prelim meets are on Athletic.net, ready for you to enter your athletes.
You'll find your meet on the Athletic.net schedule ... even if you didn't enter it yourself.

ENTRIES ARE DUE THIS SUNDAY, APRIL 29TH, AT 6PM.
Remember maximum of 4 entries per school per event, unless you have more than 4 in an event that have suparssed the CIF standard,
or if your League has made other allotments. This will ensure we are able to determine the number of heats/flights etc as we prepare for the Prelims.

Don't forget we have a 5pm meeting Monday April 30th at San Diego High School to go over assignments and procedures.
The meeting will be in room 351, next to the library.

Attached is a copy of the current BLUE Book section for Track and Field.
As well as make the preparations for the League meet we will review and make recommendations for changes to the Book.
These will include the ones we looked at in February, as well as anything else. Please read and be prepared to make suggestions.

Make sure to send at least one Head coach to the meeting. We will also be making assignments for the various jobs needed to run each of the meets.[Prelims and Finals]

City Conference Track Coaches Meeting                                                                               Monday March 6, 2012
After a discussion, the coaches voted, nearly unanimously to hold a combined[4 League] Conference Meet.

Details are listed below, with specific assignments to be determined at our meeting, early in May.
Monday May 7: City and Central League Throws @ San Diego HS
Tuesday May 8: City and Central Prelims @ Clairemont HS [Jim Waters Timing operator]
                Eastern League Prelims @ Mira Mesa HS [Paul Swanson Timing operator]
                Western League Prelims @ Univ City [John Hutsel Timing operator]
The following events will be held as Finals at the Prelims: Pole Vault, Triple Jump, and 3200.
                For Central League – Shot Put will be a Final at Prelims. Other Leagues will have Discus as a Final.
                [League Rotation for Shot Put final @ Prelims: 2013 City, 2014 Eastern , 2015 Western, etc]
Friday May 11: All Leagues Finals @ Serra HS [John Hutsel Timing Operator]
                Field Events Start at 3pm              LJ/HJ/Shot Put 2 pits/rings
                                Time Slots: 3:00-4:30,4:30-6:00,6:00-7:30,7:30-9:00[No Shot Put Last time slot]
                                                Central Discus: 3:00-4:30, 4:30-6:00
                Running Events 4:00-9:00 - League Order for races - To Be Determined
The League Reps to CIF were agreed upon as follows:
Central League: S.Stevenson [Clairemont] - Boys; G. Green [Coronado] – Girls
City League: K. Bell [Lincoln] – Boys; A. Henderson [Lincoln] – Girls
Eastern League: E. Miller [Mira Mesa] – Boys; K. DeLong[Pt. Loma] – Girls
Western League: J. Pisapia [Serra] – Boys; D. Geiger[Cathedral Catholic] – Girls
The Coaches recommended the following changes to the Track portion of the City Conference Blue Book.
                High Jump: Opening Heights: Varsity Boy 5’, JV Boys 4’ 6”, Girls 4’
                Pole Vault: Varsity boys 9’, JV Boys 6’ 6”, Girls 6’ 6”
                For Girls Only, Allow 1(one) “B” Heat in the 100, 200, 400, 100 Hurdles, and 300 Hurdles
It is hoped these changes can be implemented for the 2012 season, pending Administrative approval.

Patrick Henry and Point Loma share league title based on W-L record and the finals Patrick Henry has top boy and girl finishers.
